It seems like you have arrived at the first union between Michael Brooks and Ryan Felgate.
Inadequate-endowment was a weekly webcomic that we created while we lived together and attended university. We came up with jokes that were sometimes funny to our immediate friends or, most of the time, not funny to anyone at all.
This site was active from December 12, 2004 to July 22nd, 2005. It had very long winded news posts written by me and a great forum where people could discuss the weekly comic. Sadly, all of that information was lost when our hosting ceased to exist. Luckily, Mikey is very responsible and saved all of the original comics and website files! We decided it would be fun to share what we created all those years ago, even if we don't have the original news items and forum posts.
I will do my best to retell the story behind the comics and give interesting commentary about how funny I think each comic is.
I hope you enjoy it!
This was our last comic. A wedding gift for our friend, Jeremy, who got married during university.
(NOTE: If you want to have a fun wedding with tons and tons of drunk kids... get married while you are in university. Your friends will thank you for the party, but the gifts you receive may be cheapish and consist of second hand blenders and toasters from Value Village.)
We had tons of great ideas for this comic, but we decided on a suggestion by our good friend Conrad. He lives in Calgary now. I wonder if he realizes he has achieved Internet fame from his mention on our website. Literally 10's of people will see this site, and fortunately, almost all of them will know who Conrad is and how to contact him to give their congratulations. Thanks for the idea Conrad.
Hopefully no one is too offended by the idea of Jeremy's penis falling off and being the property of his wife. This was one of my favorite comics for two reasons; I like penis jokes and Mike's rendition of Jeremy is EXACT, right down to the Chicago White Sox hat he always wore.
PS. I am not sure why I do not have a nose in this comic. I think it makes me look svelte.
While drawing this comic, I half suspected that it would be our last. So, I put extra effort into the floral arrangement. I can almost smell the lilacs!
This was one of better comics because of the simplicity. It may or may not be funny, but at least it is straightforward. Personally, I liked the short comics because they were quicker to draw ;)
